CHTHONIC, in mythology, and particularly in Greek, the term chthonic or chthonic

Stuart Broughton, from Barton, England, send us the link of youtube of this Death Metal Sinphonic band from Taiwan.

Taiwand

CHTHONIC, in mythology, and particularly in Greek, the term chthonic or chthonic designates or refers to the gods or spirits of the underworld, as opposed to the Olympic deities. Sometimes they are also called "telluric".They was born in Taiwand in 1995, nine albuns up to 2019.

In an appropriate progression of the band's political activism, running under his own New Power Party, CHTHONIC was elected as a representative to Taiwan's legislative, on January 16, 2016. The following year, the band released its first film, Tshiong, which also starred Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, who featured on the movie's theme song, "Souls of the Revolution." Chthonic returned in 2018 with their eighth set, Battlefields of Asura. Inspired by ancient deities and the decades of radical change between the 1930s and 1950s, the album included the single "Millennia's Faith Undone," featuring Hong Kong songstress Denise Ho.

"The demon clouds rise in the sky

Hear savage solders' battle cry

As sacred blood flows through our veins

We are immortal, feel no pain

The motherland has called us here

Killing machines who have no fear

Our flash and blood upon the earth

Called to this destiny from birth..."

"Oceanquake"
