The drummer of the Foo Fighters, was found dead yesterday Friday, 04/20/25, in the hotel room where they were staying


in Bogota, Colombia, where they were going to perform at the Stereo Picnic Festival. According to the local press, the death, was announced an hour before the band was to take the stage.


Before joining the band in 1997, he was the drummer for Alanis Morissette on the "Can't Not tours" tour for the "Jagged Little Pill" album, as well as the drummer for the experimental progressive band called "Sylvia", which later changed its name to "Anyone", where he signed with "Roadrunner Records". His cousin, Kevin Harrell, introduced him to Dave Grohl after camping with him for several weeks in the Ozarks. Hawkins would become the drummer in Grohl's band, the Foo Fighters. As a member of the group, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.

In 2004, Hawkins formed his own side project, "Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders," in which he played drums and sang.

The iconic drummer dies at age 50.

The cause of death has not yet been confirmed, yet.
